Legends vs Icons 2.0 (Revenge of the Legends)

So… everything was scheduled… The biggest game in Team Hawks calendar, Legends versus Icons version 2.0… And the title Revenge of the Legends (not Revenge of the Sith la lolz…) Why the title?? On my previous post on the 1st game we had, Legends went down 11-4 being crushed by newly born players from Icons… So this time… Legends were prepared to redeem what they had lost last year and will do all their best to crush the Icons…

Everyone gathered on the field at about 7.30 in the morning… and as usual another ice breaking session was held so that they would know who their team members were… Before that… FYI, Legends was lead by Team Hawk’s previous captain… Remon Melchizedek aka The Hawkster (No longer Captain Marvel coz no longer captain… hehehe correct or not Remon??) and then Calvin (me of course) aka Star of Stars… leading a team of iconic players ready repeat history by thrashing the Legends once again…

And let the rumble begins…

Remon leading his Legends with Hafiz, Leon, SushiBoy Ho, Danyal, Alwyn, Vincent, Oscar, Ivan, Tamo(donno correct or not) and Saiful…

While Calvin captaining the Icons with the Eko, KKK, Kuku, Mogan, Ken, Basri, Arif, Ruslan, Acap and Aman…

1st half started and everything was on the Icons side… Basri had all the control on the left wing and the Icons draw first blood… Aman opening the score line with a simple tap in from Basri… Then goals came in from a long shot through the keeper’s legs from Arif and Basri… Calvin had two glorious chances to add to his goal tally but was denied perfectly by the backbone of the Legends, the legendary SushiBoy… Team Legends were able to pull one back right before the half time whistle through Tamo’s left leg… Half time score was 4-1… Just like what happened last year… Is history repeating?? Will it happen again?? How is the captain of Legends going to bring up his team spirit? Will they fight back and level the scores??

At the break… two players were unable to continue the game due to important business off the field… It was then a 10 man game with Saiful and SushiBoy leaving making Aman from the Icons joining the Legends… After some formation changes and a few words from each team captain… The game was ON again…

The whole game was one-sided as Icons dominated the whole of second half… Players from Team Legends were losing their spirit… they weren’t much of threat to the Iconic defense…

Goals came pouring in from the attackers of the Icons… Arif got his second goal and yes again it went through the keeper’s leg… What a let off… Youngster Acap came up with two splendid goals from the center... Basri also came up with another two goals to get his hat-trick... Then the current captain of Team Hawk.. Calvin Yong aka Star of Stars of the team.. scores a long range shot totally leaving the keeper no chance at all.. And then SoS scores another one from a low cross from Basri and in the end got his hat-trick with a hard-driven header from a cross by Basri also..

Legends were able to score 3 goals in the second half with Team Legends captain, Ivan and Oscar having one goal a piece... The game ended 12-4... A much shocking defeat to the Legends as they were expecting to get revenge after last year's match...

Overall we were all happy.. as everything was planned and it went through just well...

Thats all from the SoS.. Legends vs Icons 2.0 is ending right here right now...

Goodbye and enjoy the rest of your weekend...
